History of the Games

The IBSA World Games, formerly known as IBSA World Championships and Games occur every four years and are organised by the International Blind Sports Federation. The first games took place in Madrid, Spain 1998.

Since the inaugural games host cities include.

• 2007 Sao Paulo, Brazil. 
• 2011 Antalya, Turkey. 
• 2015 Seoul, South Korea.
• 2019 Fort Wayne, Indiana, USA.
